September Word of the Month: Vintage

VINTAGE: September was all about learning about the past and what's appropriate and what's not to carry in our futures.

6&1/2 Vintage mantras we live by:
Morgzz age 4

1: Some things are better with age- think cheese, wine, men who understand that there actually were two different George Bush's in office.

2: Don't grieve your old, broken things. Preserve them, repurpose, or toss. This includes old clothing, music tastes, and relationships.

CT age 3
3: Learn the difference between reminiscing and dwelling. It is appropriate to remember the past and feel good. The bad memories are only there for learning purposes only.

4: Say no to sex with the ex. He's the wrong kind of antique. Instead, opt  for a thrift store shopping spree that will remind you of the good parts of the past.

5: Nostalgia is just the perfect deja vu- enjoy your adolescent memories. Take time out to watch an old movie that might remind you of your childhood. Yay!

6 and it's so important it deserves another .5:  Look how far you've come as a person. Where were you a month ago? 5 years ago? Progress is amazing. You are a product of your previous experiences and
what you have chosen to learn from them.
