January Word of the Month: Productive

There is a reason that people all over the country vow to start over with new resolutions come January. They all want to believe that they can make positive, productive changes in their lives by setting goals for the new year. Usually, this is super possible! The key to success is thinking about these resolutions carefully and realistically and we are here to help you (and ourselves) do just that!
This month we vow to have posts about saving money, eating healthy, enjoying Memphis life, helping others, and all of those other self-promises that we like to make. In this spirit, each post this month will be dedicated to one of the these popular resolutions and will feature special ways in which we hope to achieve them in our own lives - and hopefully you can, too!

To kick off the month, here is a list of 6 &1/2 ways to resolve those resolutions
1. KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid. Harder resolutions are more likely to end in failure. And let's face it: KISSing is fun.
2. Plan ahead. Divise ways to keep your goal in check all year long. Put it on your calendar each month!
3. Buddy Up! Choose someone with similar goals in mind and keep each other accountable.
4. Set yourself up for success! Don't constantly out yourself in sitautions where temptations will be an issue.
5. Choose rewards that benefit your hard work and your continual succes. For example, give me $1000 if you lose 10 lbs, k thx.
6. Don't let small cheats equal overall defeat. Small set backs here and there are just that: small setbacks.
6.5. Keep up with our blog because we will offer many tips and tricks to keeping all of your resolutions alive and healthy!
