November Playlist: Dedications

This month the word is "appreciative." Basically, there needs no explanation for why this month is about giving thanks to those who have inspired us, believed in us, made us who we are. So, with that - here is your November playlist. What's the theme? Dedications, naturally. Each of these songs were written for someone in particular, and you may be surprised by some of them. Why 6&1/2

Life in Memphis as a young professional has gotten so much better, have you noticed? We have and we started this blog as a way to explore life in our city. Rather than bombard you with an overload of drama that will just stress us all out, we have come up with half a baker's dozen ways to sum up most fashion and beauty tips, events, and ways to describe real local life. We won't always stick to that number, and hey - sometimes there will be no number. But it's a good way to start, yes? This is simply Memphis from the perspectives of two youngish, bold, fun-loving, simple kinda girls. Enjoy!

I'm Cassie. I will attempt to be informative about myself but please know that until you meet me in person, you really can't understand how bizarre I am. I'm 23 and I'm just a list making, cookie baking, costume collecting, good thinking girl from Memphis. I have 3 younger siblings, 2 legs, 1 tattoo, and a whole lot of love to give. Right now I live in midtown and frequent The Blue Monkey, Ballinger's, Playhouse on the Square, Taco Bell and wherever else I can skip to. I've done a lot of theatre in the area and the occasional commercial spot (resume available upon request). Currently, I work a boring day job in order to support my bad habits and afford my sassy studio apartment. Never have I ever been good at roller skating, cooking, sports, or biology. But at least I know what my weaknesses are, right? Also, my mom is hott, so I have no complaints. I'm just a freelance party girl.

Hi I'm Morgan and I'm scared of EVERYTHING. Like frogs. And planes. And sometimes elevators. And the fact that I'm 32. I am at a very new point in my life- divorced, out on my own in the big bad world, working four jobs just because I want to, single parenting two great awesome chickies who I love more than anything and discovering who I am and what I want in life. I'm getting closer every second. My day job is mostly social media and the like for a medical clinic here in town. I am also a freelance writer for two national teen girl magazines, both based locally here in Memphis. I also teach theatre to little kids a couple of days a week. When I am not working, I'm obsessing over my new record player, making playlists for people I care about and/or have crushes on, collecting pictures of my fake boyfriend Shaun White, doing cartwheels as much as adultly possible, and inventing new ways to entertain my two wonderful daughters, awesome friends and loving family. I'm the president of happiness or at least I try to be.

Have fun reading. Just don't judge. Judgers are not welcome here. In fact, we have extra sensitive security cameras to protect against that sort of nonsense. If you are caught judging, you will have a curse put on you and wrinkles will start appearing on your hairline and will keep growing until your whole face looks like those ugly wrinkly dogs.
